Fantastic Free App on ADHD to Support Families

The Changing Lives Initiative have developed an App to help families understand what ADHD is and provide practical strategies and tools for parents to use with their children. The App is particularly relevant for parents who have concerns about their child’s behaviour but are not yet sure if their child may have ADHD.  The App is also very useful for those working with children, in helping them understand ADHD and how they might support children who have issues with inattention, hyperactivity or impulsivity. The App can be downloaded for free at https://changinglivesinitiative.com/portal-capture/

Mymind Webinar on Thursday 22nd April at 11:00am

Now, more than ever, there are a lot of challenges to mental health. The Covid-19 pandemic has created a great deal of additional stress and anxiety, and is affecting everyone, even those who have always been able to maintain reasonably good mental health. Depression, loneliness, stress, suicidal feelings are among the most intensely felt consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. But there is a lot of support out there, and much of it is free of charge.

MyMind Centre for Mental Wellbeing is currently providing free online counselling services to people who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic whether it’s through bereavement, job loss, increased anxiety or depression. Support is provided by a team of qualified mental health professionals, and all sessions are held in strict confidence through MyMind’s own online platform.

Text50808 provides a safe space where, via text messaging, you’re listened to by a trained Crisis Volunteer with whom you can share at your own pace. You’ll text back and forth, only sharing what you feel comfortable with. By asking questions, listening to you and responding with support, they will help you sort through your feelings until you both feel you are now in a calm, safe place.

MyMind and 50808 have come together to provide this unique free webinar which will help you to find out more about each of the services, how to access them and what you can expect.

Date: Thu. April 22 2021 11:00 – 12:00 GMT
Please register here: Eventbrite tickets
There will be a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
This is a free public event. Participants will need MS Teams to access this event.
