The National Parents Council has a series of four webinars for parents on Mental Health with Dr Coleman Noctor coming up. They will take place once a week starting 7th October, 2020.

Meath Libraries Children’s Book Festival: A Right Royal Read – October 2020

for details of our annual Children’s Book Festival in Meath which runs for the month of October. Our festival will be online on our YouTube channel and it is a wonderful opportunity for children and schools to engage in workshops, listen to authors, take part in competitions etc.  Schools are asked to book events by emailing [email protected]

Our annual Family Day has also moved online.  Videos by lots of authors, illustrators and storytellers will be available to view on the weekend of 24th/25th October.

3. ‘Understanding Stigma and Dealing with Discrimination’
Start Date: Thursday October 22nd. 
Format: Four weekly 1.5 hour sessions, 11am-12.30pm

4. ‘My Home, My Sanctuary’
Start Date: Monday November 2nd
Format: Four Weekly 1.5 hour workshops, 11am-12.30pm

5. ‘Crafts & Creativity for Wellness
Start Date: Tuesday November 3rd
Format: Six Weekly 1.5 hour workshops, 11am-12.30pm

Our team will also provide easy to follow instructions for those looking to install the necessary Zoom App on their laptop or phone.  As always Our courses are open to everyone in the community including people overcoming mental health distress, family members, friends and mental health professionals.

Family Addiction Support Network – Family Therapeutic RISE Programme

The Family Addiction Support Network (FASN) are planning to start their next RISE family therapeutic programme on the 15th October, 2020 in Navan. This is a very positive programme for family members affected by a loved one’s continued substance use.
