Addiction Help for Family Members

The Family Addiction Support Network (FASN) are hosting the highly recommended Family Educational Programme for family members who live in Co. Meath. Developed by the The Rise Foundation, this programme offers practical support, relevant education, coping strategies and the opportunity for people to connect through their shared experiences.

Two programmess will take place online on the following dates:

First Programme will commence Tuesday, 28th September and conclude on Tuesday, 30th November
Second Programme will commence Thursday, 30th September and conclude Thursday, 2nd December
Starting time for both programmes: 6.30pm and finishing at 9.30pm

This initiative is funded by Pobal through the Healthy Ireland Fund with the support of Meath Local Sports Partnership and Meath CYPSC.

Invite to Meath Wellness Hub Launch on 30th and 31st August

Meath Wellness Hub are delighted to announce our line-up for our 2-day launch of our service, which due to our funding allows us to offer free and accessible services to the people of Meath. Our speakers are influential and role-models for people in Ireland, spreading a positive message of hope for mental health recovery.

Our speakers:

Caroline Foran:

#1 international bestselling author and podcaster of ‘Owning It’. Caroline will talk everything anxiety and give some general tools to use in everyday life. With over 40k followers on Instagram and her successful book and podcast, Caroline has paved her way to one of the most influential figures for mental wellness and anxiety in Ireland.

Brian Pennie:

Having had his own battles with addiction, Brian is now a neuroscience, mindfulness and addiction lecturer at Trinity College and UCD. He will talk about his inspirational journey, how to change and recover by looking at what we can and cannot control.

Siobhan Murray:

Coach, Psychotherapist and author of “The Burnout Book: 12 Weeks to a Calmer You”. Siobhan will be talking about burnout and the impact of Covid-19. She will discuss stress and emotional exhaustion and steps to overcome this.

Monday 30th August:

Tuesday 31st August:

11am-12:30pm: Brain Pennie

2pm – 3:30: Siobhan Murray
