Mymind Webinar on Thursday 22nd April at 11:00am

Now, more than ever, there are a lot of challenges to mental health. The Covid-19 pandemic has created a great deal of additional stress and anxiety, and is affecting everyone, even those who have always been able to maintain reasonably good mental health. Depression, loneliness, stress, suicidal feelings are among the most intensely felt consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic. But there is a lot of support out there, and much of it is free of charge.

MyMind Centre for Mental Wellbeing is currently providing free online counselling services to people who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic whether it’s through bereavement, job loss, increased anxiety or depression. Support is provided by a team of qualified mental health professionals, and all sessions are held in strict confidence through MyMind’s own online platform.

Text50808 provides a safe space where, via text messaging, you’re listened to by a trained Crisis Volunteer with whom you can share at your own pace. You’ll text back and forth, only sharing what you feel comfortable with. By asking questions, listening to you and responding with support, they will help you sort through your feelings until you both feel you are now in a calm, safe place.

MyMind and 50808 have come together to provide this unique free webinar which will help you to find out more about each of the services, how to access them and what you can expect.
