12 Stories of Christmas

This festive season, Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company are inviting young writers between the ages of 6 and 12 years to write your own Christmas story! Spreading holiday cheer is more important than ever this year, so fire up your imagination and create a new classic tale.

Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company are sharing story prompts as a fun way to create new stories with your family, friends and classmates. If you would like to share your stories with us too, you can do that in two ways –

  1. A comment on our social media posts: ask your parent or guardian to share your story as a comment on the social media posts from Fighting Words and Graffiti for the story prompt. You will find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  2. A post on your parent/guardian’s social media accounts: ask your parent or guardian to upload your story to their social media accounts using the hashtag #12StoriesofChristmasIreland. Be sure to tag Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company so we can see and share your work.

Know Your Rights – A Guide to Children’s European Rights to Online Privacy and Safety

After the successful launch of our Know Your Rights Guide last year, the Children’s Rights Alliance were delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Communicating Europe Initiative to develop a guide for children and young people focused solely on their rights to online privacy and safety under EU law.

Once again, we worked with member organisations to ensure that the information in the Guide was relevant and responded to some of the main concerns and questions young people had around their rights in the online space. We would like to thank our members for their continued support for our Know Your Rights project.
